Constellations

Marlen's tribute to the world of astronomy: a splendid limited edition (only 38 fountain pens and 28 rollerballs). A special hot enameling technique was used to depict the painting.
Hot enameling is a process that involves the liquefaction of powdered crystals at temperatures between 650 and 800 degrees Celsius. Numerous steps are required to produce the final product. The subject is first painted on a transparent enamel base using colored crystals mixed with special oils. The pen is then fired several times to fix the painting. Once the desired result is achieved, the miniature is then covered with a layer of transparent enamel and cleaned.
